Children's Ministry Day

Children’s Ministry Day 2008
February 16, 2008

Crossroads’ GA’s will be participating in the first annual Children’s Ministry Day!
This years theme is “Hope for the Hungry”.

What Is Children’s Ministry Day?
Jesus taught His disciples by example, by inviting them to minister alongside Him. In a similar way, we can help children learn long-lasting lessons about missions through hands-on mission action experiences.
Children’s Ministry Day, sponsored by Woman’s Missionary Union®, is a special day for all children in the church to get involved in hands-on ministry. On this day, we encourage children and their leaders across North America to participate in ministry projects to meet needs in their own communities.
The objectives for Children’s Ministry Day are:
• To move children’s groups into their communities for a one-day effort to minister and witness together.
• To help children understand the needs of others and grow in their ability to minister to others as Christ did.
• To enable children, leaders, parents, and recipients of ministry across North America to share and receive God’s love.

The GA’s have selected the Birthday Bash Bags as their ministry project. These bags will contain all the items necessary for a birthday dinner and party. We will be delivering these bags to a group designated by the Baptist Family Services.
We will begin collecting the items for this project on the other side of this immediately.

Items Needed for the Birthday Bash Bags
Cake Mix
Frosting
Disposable Cake Pan
Candles
Cake Decorations (i.e. sprinkles)
Canned Meat Sauce (Hunt’s)
Pasta
Party Plates, Napkins, Hats, Cups, etc.
Streamers
Birthday Banners
Balloons
Large Gift Gags (Plain)

On February 16th the GA’s will meet at the church to assemble the bags. We will also be making birthday cards to place in the bags. We welcome our parents to join us in this event. Your help will be most definitely appreciated!
More info will come on possible delivery of the bags.
