***Please Take Note!!!!***

There will be no GA's on Sunday, November 25th!!! Mrs. Kim and I will be traveling back home and may not be back in time for GA's so we have decided to cancel this weeks classes. There will still be choir and Bible Drill classes.

Also, please keep Mrs. Kim and her family in your prayers. Mr. Milton's brother passed away this last week.

We do hope that all of you are enjoying this season of Thanksgiving! You and your children are a Blessing to us both!!

Younger GA's Bible Memory Verses- November

Here are the Bible memory Verses for the Younger GA class for the month of November. The girls each receive a bible verse every month according to their grade level. They have one month to memorize these and recite them to me in order to put a sticker on the poster in our classroom. At the end of the year they will receive special recognition and a special badge for completing these.

Please help your daughter work on these!

In Him,
Dawn Thomas

1st Grade ~ It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35

2nd Grade ~ Whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6

3rd Grade ~ Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here I am. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

EXCITING News!!!!

I am thrilled to announce an exciting Live Action Project now on our calendar officially!! On Sunday, December 16th the GA's will be visiting Silver Creek Manor Nursing Home for Christmas Caroling and Bingo with the residents. We will leave the church at 3:45 and return at 6pm just after Sunday evening service ends. This will be our first of many visits to Silver Creek during the next several months!

So here's what I need for our visit on the 16th....
Toilet Paper Tubes
Candies (Butterscothes, Peppermints, Chocolates, etc.)
Small Stuffed Anilmals (Dollar Tree)
Hygiene Items such as toothpaste, lotions, brushes, combs, etc....

Also, if a GA wishes to Adopt a Grandparent, they will have the opportunity to earn the Adopt-A-Grandparent badge! This would be a great time to do so just before the holidays.

This is going to be a lot of fun for all involved!

Dawn Thomas

November is Here!!!

November is finally here!! It is one of my favorite times of the year ~ all the wonderful aromas that fill my kitchen warm my heart ! I am able to reflect on the many blessings God has given me throughout the year! It is also another opportunity for me and my family to find yet another way to help someone else.
For the month of November, we have chosen the Pure Water, Pure Love Ministry . We just finished learning about Sam & Delores York, missionaries in Haiti , and the work they do there to help bring fresh, clean drinking water to the people of Haiti. Please ask your daughter what she remembers about them! If you are not familiar with this ministry, please check out this link : http://www.wmu.com/VolunteerConnection/pwpl/index.asp . During this month we are asking the girls to bring in monetary donations and drop them in the 5 gallon water jug that will be located in the foyer in the Faith building. This would be a good time to have your daughter help out around the house or lend a hand in the yard to earn extra money for their offering. At the end of the month we will send the offering into the Pure Water, Pure Love organization.

Speaking of The Yorks, I wanted to share a prayer request for them. Please check out this link for more details: http://gapassport.com/index.asp?ContentID=328

I want to extend another BIG THANK YOU to the parents and children who helped at the GA's Harvest Festival booth last night! A great time was had by all and the festival was a wonderful ministry outreach to the community!

That's all for now! Check back soon for some exciting news about our December Live Action Project!!
